Bodom Board

What the hell happened here? I'm gone for a few weeks and all these "OMG I looove Alexi" threads pop up...
And I thought the Bodom board was teenybopper-free, but I guess not...
Grow up people-- if Alexi hugs/kisses/fucks a chick, it's not the end of the world. It's rock N' Roll...

Oh also, did anyone watch that thing on MTV about the Unholy Alliance? I saw part of it, but it seemed that Bodom's segment was alot shorter than the other bands

Alot of people have been saying how good Bodom, Slayer and Lamb of God have been live. Obviously personal taste comes into it but they all can put on a decent live show, I've seen them all.

And btw AxlLady, this thread just adds to the other pointless ones that you're bitching about. PM them or something, we've had enough already.

I'm not going to PM every idiot who wants a piece of one of the band members...and at least my post wasn't strictly about that...

And I agree, when I saw Bodom, they were awesome as usual...but Slayer and Lamb Of God were not bad at all. They were just as good as Bodom that night.

Did anybody like Mastodon? I liked them, but it seemed like no one at my show was into their set-- as soon as they took the stage, some fag threw a bottle at Troy Sanders' head

hahaha yeah, troy sanders is kind of a dorky dude. i met him after the show and i met some of the lamb of god guys too. i went to the long beach show and some asshole threw a cup at alexi, so troy isn't alone.

Some asshole threw a bottle at Alexi at Mystic Festival 2001, then he called him a cocksucker. Good times.

I meant Alexi called the guy in the crowd a cocksucker.

Then when they started to play Lake Bodom, he threw another one so Alexi stopped playing and stuck his middle finger up at him. :D

did they continue after that?
Yeah they did. It was only Alexi who stopped anyway.

OooOOoo good... I don't think he really cared when it happened in Cleveland...cuz he made some comment that we were a crazy fucked up crowd... unless he says that everywhere...
The mosh pit at one point was pretty much the whole crowd...it was gigantic...
Yeah he pretty much says that everywhere. Most singers do, it helps pump up the crowd more.

They damn well better have, any band who stops playing just because someone throws shit at them are pussies.

Yeah pretty much, unless it's something that causes pain in anyway to a band member. But yeah a bottle is nothing.

I was at a show for one of my friend's bands and when someone threw a bottle at him, he ran off the stage crying. I kinda felt sorry for him since it was his first real show, but I was rather annoyed that he didn't keep playing. They'd only played one song, for God's sake.

By the way, was anyone there at Ozzfest during the Iron Maiden incident? Fuckin' crazy.

They definitely had the ambition, but they hadn't practiced enough, they were too busy talking about how awesome it was going to be.

As for the music, it wasn't too bad when recorded and mixed. However, their solos often sounded out of place and had little direction to them, and the songs didn't progress at all. Just the same power chord + shrieking vocal mix.

i feel a bit sorry for your friend, it is pretty scary going up on stage but then again... its fucking metal... Get over it. Pick up the bottle and throw it back into the crowd...

sweet... i liked it. It seemed like a bit of an akward start to the song tho....don't you think?

Yeah I guess so. He does alright through out the rest of it so I spose it's not a big deal to him.

Alexi has claimed to have acted tough back in the day for some reason or other, that's just him being a badass.
