bodom getting trendy

I hate how you people assume someone's a mallcore poseur just because of their age. Just because almost all faggoth's are teenagers, doesn't mean all teenagers (who listen to metal) are faggoth.
Well, yeah, but since there's no such thing as a 20-year-old goth poser(at least I hope so), it has to be stereotyped into those 14-year-olds. And believe me, it's pretty easy to tell if someone is a poser or "true metalhead" only by spending a little time in his/her company. Or maybe even just by reading his/her posts on some messageboard.

As I have stated before the pseudo-CoB following in Southern California alone is enough to sell out the entire Iced Earth tour in North America.Everyone who listens to any form of "heavy" music always brings up Bodom. They are incredibly popular here.
Sad thing though is that only a handful have actually spent the money to get an actual record, burnt cd's flourush here & they are all the craze, just like everywhere else I suppose.

You guy's shouldnt get discouraged though, because you are the one's that buy the records & truly dig the band's music.Besides it is incredibly easy to sort the real fans from the pseudo-ones.

k guys, metal is metal. i could give three fucks about who listens to it. bodom is a great band if ppl wanna buy their shirts just to be cool fine. fuck them. bodom gets more money and the person gets a nice shirt to flash around. this is a stupid discussion which i dont even know why im wasting my time on. now im just gonna go and wear my kickass iced earth shirt and goto the concert in orlando on may 5th, to support some great music that only the lucky ones get to experience. there is no such thing as a poseur. just an ignorant person who wants to fit in. to anyone who'll be at that show, cya there.

Yeah seriously. Who cares about a CoB shirt being available at hot topic. Earlier in this thread some dude mentions that he got his Nile, Opeth, and Blind Guardian shirt at Hot Topic. Did they all of a sudden get all popular? Nope.

But Opeth, Nile, and Bodom are pretty popular here. Can't understand why Nile is, but whatever. Depends on what you mean by popularity. I've seen regular Korn and Slipknot shirt wearers with Nile shirts on. And Opeth are pretty much popular for the "Soft" album, Damnation. Bodom, is being pushed a lot by Century Media, which is good. Two years ago if it was like this, I would probably shoot all these kids with a ak 47 for wearing the shirts. But I grew up and opened my mind. How sweet it is to be loved by you *doo doo do dooooo*

No, its just the ones who dress it and are the biggest pussies ever. I myself am i teenager and i listen to metal, but i dont go dressing all black and painting my fingernails and wearing leather and chains that i bought from hot topic. Their is a difference between poser goths and people who listen to metal. I just think some of the clothing these people wear are just rediculous.

I pretty much just listen to the music, wear the band t-shirt once in a while and go to concerts.

I think it's very obvious who dresses as an act and who doesnt. Hell, when I was a teenager and still today my entire wardrobe is either blue jeans 90% of the time and the occasional black pair, a band shirt, and a biker jacket I've had for 6 years or my denim jacket with my Angra back patch. No baggy jeans, no multipocketed chains from hell, just comfortable metalness. Because of that I never was stereotyped as the "mopey goth" because, hell, I wasnt. Those mopey goths that bitch about being outcasts, well you bring it on yourselves dumbass.
