And if they ever did punk, i think Alexi should do duet vocals with Derek Whibley of SUm 41. Now that would be something to look forward too.
And that's the moment you awaited to confess you're Alexi.

If not, please go lying on an highway.

first of all, green day is not punk rock! not under any circumstances, no sir. they are pop rock, with maybe a hint of punk. they play 3 chords in every song and their song structure hardly ever varies. REAL punk rock is the good shit like Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Zeke, old Rancid and Misfits and all that stuff. and honestly, i would LOVE to hear Alexi mix punk rock (real, bad ass punk rock) with metal. it would sound really sweet, especially if Alexi composed it, cuz he obviously has a very good talent for composing melodic stuff. punk rock mixed with melo death would sound kick ass. i'm gonna try making some songs myself :)
Well, there is some chord progression in metal that take his roots in punk

aka Thrash?

no, cuz if Alexi composes the music, it would have melody. thrash as we know it today has no melody. it's just a bunch of distortion. punk rock mixed with melodic death metal should sound good, not like noise. :Smug:

are you seriously comparing the melodies that slayer writes to the melody of children of bodom? no fuckin way. compared to COB songs like Hate Me, Kissing the Shadows, Towards Dead End, slayer songs come no where close to having as much melody. but yeah, i agree that slayer does put some melody in their songs and yes they are considered thrash. but the melody/rhythm in their songs sound almost the same. they lack creativity.

I wish i were Alexi! He's only the best person in the whole world! I'd love to sing and play guitar like he does. And i want his hair, and pants, and nice creamy beautiful skin! * drools over ALexi*

Slayer's good....but no where as good as Bodom! Bodom do have a lot of melody and Slayer's mostly playing the same thing. Most of the Slayer stuff have the same beat and i think the only way to tell them apart mainly is from the drumming but sometimes there is a change in the rythm of vocals.

^really? That's weird cuz at my unholy alliance most all of the people were young. There were hardly anyone that was that old. Bodom should have headlined or at least co-headlined. They deserved more time. They should have tooken LOG's place. I wanted to listen to them longer. 40 mins for Bodom isn't good enough. It went by way to fast.

^ NO YOU DIDN"T> YOU DID NOT HUG HIM! Say it with me: YOU DIDN"T HUG HIM!!!!!! I was also at the front at Unholy Alliance when Bodom played. Alexi didn't even notice me though! I'm bringing a banner next time. Damn, there were a lot of tall, big sweaty guys. There wasn't any black people at all in Arizona. Thank god, i didn't bump into any of those guys.
