I posted recently that I was planning to get a band together for this project but I am back teaching now and also have lots of studio sessions in so I won't be able to do anything more with this project until at least Christmas so I thought I would upload this for you guys to mix. I wanted these songs to be pretty straight forward but heavy and catchy rather than technical.

Zip includes:
2 songs in one session.
MIDI drums (with tempo map)
Stereo drum bounce.
Live bass (USA Jackson with Duncan Basslines through Zoom MS60b>MXR bass DI>LA-610)
DI guitars (Charvel 375 DLX with Duncan SH11)
Re-amped guitar tracks (TS808>Triple Rectifier>Recto Cab>SM57 and M201>API)
The re-amped tracks are stereo files with 57 left and m201 right. These must be summed to mono and panned accordingly. I use Logic's gain plugin switched to mono for this job. With Protools you can just use the pan on the stereo tracks to left or right and centre for the lead tracks. Hope this makes sense.

Here are my rough mixes to give you an idea of what the songs are like.

I am planning to get a drummer and vocals for this project at some stage but if anyone wants to do vocals that would be great. The structure of the songs is pretty obvious. All performances are "scratch tracks" put down for sorting out arrangement so are not as tight as the finished product will be if I ever find time to finish it :)

Look forward to hearing some mixes.

Nice, thanks! I was kinda hoping for this. :D Gonna give this one a go for sure, hopefully this weekend. Cheers!

Cool sounding mix Habsburgs!

Thanks a ton mate! How did you get that bass sound?
Bass chain is my first post.
My Jackson jj bass is super grindy and I am playing really hard.
I am using the Sansamp sim from the zoom, a bit of EQ on the MXR DI then hammering the limiter on the LA-610.

a quick mix :|

Sounds great. Did you use the drums bounce and my amped tracks?

Nice, thanks! I was kinda hoping for this. :D Gonna give this one a go for sure, hopefully this weekend. Cheers!

Cool sounding mix Habsburgs!
Look forward to hearing it :)

Here's my take. My toms sound dreadful as usual but aside from that, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. Took me about two hours. Any crits are greatly appreciated.

My dirty-breakup-tube-distortion mix of the second track.
Thanks for the files man.

I made some revisions, primarily a lot more high end/air and a more improved snare. I forgot to say thanks for uploading the files, so thanks!
