Bombing in Boston today, two dead, at least 20 injured.

Details from what is being reported now - they are brothers, one born in Russia, the other in Kyrgyzstan, the older brother has been killed, they now have Watertown on complete shutdown and have teams going door to door. They are both legal citizens. I'm listening to Boston PD Scanner - lot's of activity.

Scanner has SWAT chasing guy in a black hoody on Willow Park in Watertown by Willow Park and Dexter. On TV seems lots of officers on the move.

Tactical team in place and armored humvees on the way.

They found a building with open doors and are surrounding the building.

Huge police presence at one area right now. Snipers on the roof, police, fire, EMT all at one intersection.

You live in Boston Jind???

Thanks for keeping us posted. Be safe.

No - live about 70 miles away. Was born in Dorchester, MA but no longer live there. Just been watching local coverage and earlier listening to the Boston police scanner (thats how I knew the locations of activity) - a few hours ago they cut off the feed for public access.

However, my stepson is up in Boston with his girlfriend today. Think they are stuck in the lockdown - they were supposed to attend the Bruins game tonight but I suspect it's going to get cancelled.

Did I just hear they're gonna do a controlled demolition on that building? even if it's not confirmed that the guy is inside.

It's a building/home on Norfolk St in Cambridge that they have the controlled detonation planned for - might be the family residence.

It's too bad he was arrested on US soil - I wouldn't really mind if this guy was sent to gitmo.

Can't say that I agree, I'd rather see real justice in a courtroom than just sending someone to Gitmo. We have a justice system, he is ay US citizen and as such has the rights we all have. When, especially in the homeland, you start disregarding those rights you start down that path to becoming exactly what your fighting against.

Just a personal belief, nothing more nothing less.

No, I totally agree, at least the rational, level-headed side of me.

I think it would be really fucking cool if every cop who was involved in the man hunt would be allowed to spit in his face, but I understand why we have things like due process in place and that violating them for even situations like these sets a legal precedence we don't want to trap ourselves in.
