Bombing in Boston today, two dead, at least 20 injured.

I think of Jinjoism as the folks who think anti-war protests are somehow anti-American or the folks who are offended that France has the audacity to disagree with US policy. In the twentieth century that sort of thing was created through propaganda and empty slogans (does "Support our Troops" have substantive meaning beyond instilling blind faith?) but now that role has been taken up by pundits and bloggers.
I'm not smart enough to have a solution. In practice I think real patriotism is caring enough about the people around you to celebrate what we as a nation do right while acknowledging those things we do wrong and exerting whatever minute force we have as individuals on our government and politicians to make things better for everyone. In a country of 350 million there will assuredly be disagreement on what needs to change (or stay the same) but the Patriotism is in the process.

We see things very similarly. ;) Patriotism should not be one of those "your either with us or against us" type issues. One can be patriotic and still disagree with the majority.

Thanks dude, excellently put as always

You've seen what the Internet has done to the music industry.

So wait a second... there's a conspiracy theory relating the internet to the music industry?

/sarcasm on

Was the US government in bed with RIAA and ASCAP to somehow create an illegal file sharing infrastructure all along and not really the stated purpose of creating a "robust, fault tolerant", computer communications network when it backed the research that eventually lead to the internet back in the 1960's? :heh:

/sarcasm off

Could it simply be that technology has advanced faster than the industries ability to cope with the changes? Possibly instead of finding the conspiracy behind whats happened to the music industry it's something much more simple relating to the old adage "Adapt or die."

Hey, I'll be the first to admit that sometimes things have complex reasons, but as a general rule I'll stick with Occam's Razor when it comes to analyzing events well before jumping of the deep end of twisted tales and nefarious deeds.

It does not make sense to me that multiple first time weighlifting forum users all the the sudden post these ridiculous theories and pictures. The only logic I can make is that it is one guy under multiple brand new aliases posting all that horseshit.

Why would multiple people pick a weightlifting forum to set up new accounts and post this stuff? It makes no sense.

If someone was able to FBInd out who is posting that stuff it would clear things up.

Yeah, some loud mouth cunt running his mouth and publicly berating a guy he's never met and knows nothing about... COOL. 'MERICUH!!!

It would have been hilarious to see the bald guy lose his temper and deck that alpha-bro in the face.
