this is annoying I get uncontrolable boomyness on chugs on higher frets (10-12) whenever i try to use impulses with voxengo. if i back up distortion to 0, they still don't fade away. bass knob don't do much. i didn't have this with line6 build in cab sims... :zombie: :cry:

Are you using voxengo correctly? As in, are you loading impulses into the program or just using its built in cabs?

If you're loading them in, be sure to turn tone AND drive all the way down in voxengo.

Or.. you can automate the hell outta the chugs. 10-12 is not typically a good place to chug.. I'd suggest doing it on 7-9 of your a string instead.

Chug the strings a bit more lightly when you are playing the higher fret chords
Otherwise, multiband compression is your best friend
