I heard from one of my friends that borknagar no longer play viking/black metal . is this true and if it is , what genere do they play now?

A lot of people have different opinions about Borknagar's current "genre"

Myself, I would have to say the fit is under the "folk/blackish influenced melodic kick ass metal" genre

yes i agree. it does some folk influences on it doesent it? but i guess they are folk/black/progressive metal if you really want to get technical.lol

I would have to disagree with prog, I would consider it more melodic black metal with folk influences. More under it's own category........I love borknagar, when is the new one going to released in the U.S.?? There style of music is the most mind relaxing yet stimulating.

They play Borknagar. They are their own genre.
