:) finally made it, winter- frost

I've had the album (empiricism) for quite a while and I can definitely say that the new borknagar sounds better than ever. Simen was good, but vintersorg is just not from this planet!! The new borknagar is truly amazing!!
 
yes Vintersorg did a really great job on this album!!
I love it, the whole album is great, I'm listening to it very much.

Vintersorg is for sure one of my favorite vocalists, and the best in his genre.

280102 - BORKNAGAR LIVE

Great news for the fans in Germany and Hungary, Borknagar confirmed to play in these countries coming summer. The band can be seen at the Summer Rocks 2002 festival on 7 & 8 june in Budapest, Hungary.

Borknagar will also play at Party San Open Air 2002 in Bad Berka, Germany, which takes place at 9 & 10 august 2002. More live dates are coming up...

...and of course in Wacken :)

That's sad... I won't be able to go to Hungary, because I'm in Sweden that weekend... but I'm lucky enough to see them 2 weekends in a row, Wacken and Party San...
 
Oh, forgot this it'd a bit older and maybe you all know already:

Borknagar is currently working on new material for the next album, which is still untitled, according to Øystein G. Brun. "Most of the material is written with the rough plan for studio time in autumn '02. We intend to use the same studio and engineer as on Empiricism. Musically it will be a continuation of the latest effort."

Yeah... I haven't seen any Vintersorg effort yet. Nor any Dan Swano... I was rather wishing I could make it down to the last Prog Power fest in Atlanta... just for them. I could care less about the remaining bands.
 
I still have my fingers crossed for the tour...but if they start with the new album then that would mean there's no empyricism tour??

- Borknagar will do a headline European tour in October. Tour dates and
support acts will be issued as soon as things are completly settled.
- A tour in the States for July is also planned (but not yet confirmed).

Other good news! Oystein and his girlfriend are since last week the proud
parents of a beautiful little girl! Congratulations to them of course! :)

The news will be tomorrow on the site!

word to all the borknagar fans.
empiricism is simply amazing, and i'm consistently stunned by vintersorg's performance on this album. borknagar seem to become stronger with every release, and this one threatens to usurp the brilliance of the archaic course.
i cannot wait to see what these guys will do next...
