Sabra is indeed the best hummus you can find in the states but it ain't perfect

My mom said she read in the paper that one of the biggest companies in israel for hummus are opening a factory IN VIRGINIA and start making hummus here according to the REAL recipe!!!!

What's the "real" recipe though? Pretty much every Mediterranean and Middle Eastern country has its own variant. Sabra is the best I have had, but I hear good things about Syrian and Lebanese styles.

^ forget 'styles' the Sabra is excellent, but in israel that same sabra will be considered below avarage with all the amazing variety of hummuses there. I can't really point my finger at what its lacking, but as good as it is- there is something missing there.
Ask your Heb friend, he'll know what I'm talking about!

^ Trader Joes is indeed awesome, I just don't like their produce section and prefer Whole Foods in that departmen.

produce from TJ is awful. Whole Foods destroys TJ in every way possible (except price).
