Bring Metallicat to Cali

I've been putting in random dates and flights are coming up at about £400 - £450.

I think it is very cool too - I can't thank you all enough for this. :worship:

What airport are you flying out of? GLA or EDI or ? I think if you wait a bit more, the prices will drop even more. I'll help you search. In past years I've seen flights from LA to London for as low as $400-$500US (£200-£250). Scotland is a little more tho, but that's just to give you an idea.

I just checked orbitz.com. Interesting results. London to LA round trip was very cheap - $347 with taxes. GLA and EDI showed prices as low as $443 but they didn't take, however it did take a $626. Strange...keep checking. I know you've got some inside UK airline deals, might want to consider that if you want to airport hop and fly out of London for that really cheap price, but at the moment I'd keep checking for flights to the states from local airport.

I've seen flights from Edinburgh to London for as little as £12.

Dont know if they still are at that price though.

My advice would be to buy dollars now, because the currency is improving against the Pound Sterling.

Most flights ot the US leave from Heathrow or Manchester, might be worth looking at Manchester, it seems a popular airport for US destinations. And if you get the train to Manchester Airport, it takes you right into it, there no messing about, up a few flights of stairs and you are in the terminal.

I would most likely be flying from a major airport, not Glasgow or Edinburgh (tho Edinburgh is my airport of choice). Any help would be much appreciated! :D

Timewarrior - I got $95 for my birthday from my sister and mum. That way, I can't spend them here!!
