I have heard of very few of these bands, but it sounds interesting.

There will be raffles for merch and stuff all day. Bring a few bucks to buy some tickets to help cover the cost of this free fest."

There are soooo many bands by that name ...

Actually, Eden (the keyboardist from Orphaned Land) used to have a brilliant progressive metal band called Mercenary, who recorded one of the best prog-metal discs I've ever heard. I totally love that disc - too bad they never got a deal for it.

Thanks Claus, I didnt know bands could have the same name to avoid confusion. Or is that only if u have a ridiculous amount of money and can sue anyone.

On a related note, we had a really shitty local top 40 rawk band named Threshold for rears here, which resulted in weird stares when I tried to explain what prog metal bands I'm into to people who wern't familiar with the scene.
