I had to put 0 - (so far). All the people I know are musical wusses. They have some taste in music - but have an inability to widen their horizons, open up, and listen.

Granted - my kids and wife now know of Opeth, but they're not "into" them. They like them when I play them - but I haven't heard them play Opeth on their own :waah:

well the one person i got into some sort of good music also likes Slipknot  but since the introduction of good music as i like to put it, he doesn't really talk about them anymore and i'd guess he likes them a lot less than he did, along with all the other nu-crap. other than that, everyone else i know likes rap, rnb, and the only metal they like is the stuff played at wrestling matches, so....

I voted 1. It's not exactly one, since I just introduced him to them and he likes them, but he isn't exactly into them.

Maybe I should have said 2, because my mom now knows what Opeth is, and I don't know many moms familiar with them

I've burned 3 CD's of Opeth's stuff and gotten people to really love Opeth... and one of them was a Rap fan!! i gave him strict instructions on how to listen and made it so he HAD to like them... there's no way you wouldn't with my special instructions hehe :) The rest were all forum members of other forums that i mailed the Cd's out to.

4 :o)

I'm SO proud! >:o)

There might be more people I have
turned into listening to Opeth, but I
can't remember them now.
So either, they are not important to
me, or I'm just wishing I have
turned more people into Opeth >:oP

idiot me!!!! i voted for 2 people while i have got 3...
my X boyfriend (Ok,he didn't got madly in love, but at least he likes them so and so),his sister and some old classmate 3 years ago....

the rest were way toooo prejudiced to listen to opeth

ZERO...

Everyone is like: "Ah, what's this death-metal crap you're listening too?? This is shit, I hate all that grumbling and growling, why can't they just sing or rap or something??".

Well, have talked to many, borrowed the CD's to many and plain FORCED many to listen Opeth, but how many have I "converted" into Opeth-fans? Dunno.

Well, let's put five there. At least.

I like the imagery of "Pole" better. I can just see an elderly germanic man lying on the ground, coughing up flem, while people try to resussitate him, and when he wakes up he swears vehemently and completely garbled, while he hobbles off wondering why they didn't just let him die.

Anyway, I have converted my sister and brother, Zirnaluna, and three other friends, though two are casual. So I guess that is six

I could think of 4 who have either bought albums or obviously really liked them by what they said. I swear there are a couple more but I can't think of them so I put 5. Probably more I don't know about too.

If everyone got just one other person into them, then.. well actually that logic leads to everyone on earth being a fan. I wouldn't mind it.

Two for me.

One of them started liking them because of the cover of Blackwater Park. He loved it, so I let him borrow the record. Now he's got all of them.
The second one, I salvaged from the world of hip-hop. It was a rough transition, but now he's got three Opeth's and a Borknagar.
