I got the shure drum mic kit a good few months ago and first time i used it out at a gig the top got knocked off one of the 57's( it was on the snare). It seems as though just the filter got knocked off and the mic still works but sounds terrible( all treble no low end) so obviously its been damaged. I contacted shure about it and they never even dignified my email with a response.
So after a few months I had a look around to see if I can do anything with the mic and found the r 57- its the replacement cartridge but its only 10 euro less than the full mic- a second hand sm57 would be cheaper and I'd still have the broken one on my hands!
Any idea if I can send this somewhere to be fixed or if I can make use of it somehow rather than pretty much buying another one?
