So Iron Maiden is obviously too big for this festival.

How do people feel in general about solo projects coming here instead, from some of the big bands. In particular, of course for this thread, is Bruce Dickinson. I'd love to hear songs like The Tower, Laughing in the Hiding Bush, Tears of the Dragon, and Darkside of Aquarius live.

Yes, DIO almost happened last year, and Jorn did happen. So I think its a possibility, and would be great, to do this more. But -only- if they have put out good material as a 'solo' artist.

I would LOVE to see Bruce Dickinson perform especially with Adrian Smith and Roy Z. I would prefer it be the last 3 solo records though for the material.

Bruce Dickinison = $$$$
but I would love to see him. I saw him in Minneapolis back in 1997 in a smaller club. AMAZING.

Bruce would not do it. Right now he is selling out Stadiums and Fields why would he play a small venue. He is probably happy at the moment being in Maiden.

I thought I read somewhere that Rob Halford was going to do some Halford or Fight recordings. That would freakin' slay to see that at PP.

Ditto for Bruce, Geoff Tate, or even....

James LaBrie! (runs for cover)

No reason to run...Elements of Persuasion is a killer release by JLB. It slayed!
Great keyboardist on it too...l have a bootleg of a live show JLB did after the EoP release...simply jawdropping. And of course this is the vocalist for Dream Theater...all that needs to be said.

I would LOVE to see Bruce Dickinson perform his solo work. I've wished for that since I was 14 and first heard 'Tears of the Dragon' on the radio!

Halford is ....wow! ...just, wow! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Hearing Geoff Tate perform his solo material is very moving! His tour was amazing!

Elements of Persuasion was a badass album! James LaBrie is one of my favorite vocalists and I look forward to hearing his solo material in a live setting someday!

All of this Bruce Dickinson/Rob Halford/Geoff Tate talk has started me thinking of how cool it would be if Glenn could actually get the "Three Tremors" together onstage. I remember hearing the rumors of them doing a project together after the Maiden/Queensrÿche/Halford tour, but nothing ever came of it.

However, I'm pretty sure getting *ONE* of them to appear would be too expen$ive let alone all three... but we can dream, can't we?

I really like Navigate the Seas of the Sun of his last solo album.

Absolutely great song!

And I will love to have Bruce at PPVIII, especially with Roy Z aboard (and why not Adrian Smith).

Listening to his post-Maiden stuff including "Tyranny Of Souls" will not only fit the festival will be orgasmic for me.

the Devil would surely die if Bruce played PP and that would be one hella long line for autographs.

I think any musician no matter what band he's in, has been in or will be in does it for the love of music and the finacianl gains but sometimes (not often) but sometimes it's not always about the money. Talk about a huge sponsorship fee, let's start the bake sales and carwashes now

I have always liked Bruce's solo stuff better then Maiden. I like Maiden but it's like been there done that. Bruce is pretty big for this show, even solo.:headbang:

I love the Bruce Dickinson solo idea...just wish I'd thought of it while I was working on my sponsorship bid list... :)

I'd think the biggest problem with getting Bruce is there is no band. The last time he played any solo shows was in Europe in 2002 and that was just with some of the old Skunkworks guys and some fill in players. It's not like he has a band setup to just play at any given moment.
