Bruce Dickinson solo

"The Chemical Wedding" is one of my favorite metal albums. I beat the "Bruce Dickinson at ProgPower" drum fairly often, but realistically I don't think it's going to happen.

So Iron Maiden is obviously too big for this festival.

How do people feel in general about solo projects coming here instead, from some of the big bands. In particular, of course for this thread, is Bruce Dickinson. I'd love to hear songs like The Tower, Laughing in the Hiding Bush, Tears of the Dragon, and Darkside of Aquarius live.

Yes, DIO almost happened last year, and Jorn did happen. So I think its a possibility, and would be great, to do this more. But -only- if they have put out good material as a 'solo' artist.

Hell yes for Dickinson, my friends. That would be awesome. I didn't know about Dio last year. That would have made my year. But I had the pleasure of seeing him on a small stage in ATL. and I got some great photos. I can't wait for Heaven and Hell to tour.
In general I think solo acts would be great. I wish Warrel Dane would be at ProgPower next year, hopefully his solo project will be out next year. But of course with the bad blood with Nevermore, I doubt that would happen.
Solo projects is an excellent suggestion.

I have no problem at all for solo artist playing ProgPower, but I'm always partial to vocalist. I'd love to see any of the above mentioned in addition to Joe Lynn Turner, Jeff Scott Soto, and Oliver Hartman.

If not Bruce, bring in Dio! A perfect headliner!

:) I would love to see RJD play Progpower. I was stoked with the idea of it last year. That's one artist that I've never had the chance to see perform (I know, hard to believe with me being a teenager in the 80s).

Can you just imagine hearing his voice shake up Center Stage?

Dickinson would have the same effect too.
