Metallica's one of those bands that like to rotate the songs in their set pretty regularly (like every night) aren't they? I like that about them. If you go to a couple of shows, it's not like seeing a repeat. That is if you go to a couple of shows. If they play a couple of shows.

Not really, they move around 2 or 3 songs but otherwise keep the setlist pretty standard Bit of an Iron Maiden syndrome

Maiden don't change a single song though

Well they did play Fallen Angel and Out Of The Silent Planet a few times. Maybe you have to wait for the rerelease of the concert or something

Metallica do change set's a bit between tours though. That's something EVERYBODY wishes Maiden would do.

Yeah, Metallica are much better in that respect than Maiden. Metallica are awesome live, and Maiden (while still awesome) would be much better if they had some rotation like that.

Ask Portnoy, he never plays a song the same way twice!

The should ditch anything off the black album, and play Megadeth covers instead.

Bruce Springsteen changes his set all the time, sometimes announcing that they're going to play a song they haven't played in years, leaving some of the band to struggle to remember how it goes. At a recent gig they played a song they hadn't played in 18 years or so and it was just luck that one of the keyboard/piano guys remembered it started in a particular note, and the rest of the band picked it up from there.
