Cesspool as noted here is quite the Lust of Decay worship band. But then again Lust of Decay do deserve some worship.

It also helps that, if you do your research and know more about what you're speaking of, CoV contains all members of LoD. They also don't sound too similar overall.

I've never liked Lust of Decay. Drumming is over the top and vocals are awful. The best part of that band went on to form Atrocious Abnormality which is way better.

Quality posts malice! I'm looking forward to new Flesh Consumed and a couple other things you've posted. Hour Of Penance new album cover is joyous. I'm glad insidious will have some new material on his upcoming release. The first song on Sarcolytic's new cd is really nice and the second is good, haven't heard the rest enough to judge yet. The samples or intros I've heard so far on it are great though. It's nice they aren't just bitches crying and being raped.

I agree about Atrocious Abnormality and Cesspool is just a little above average.

Eh, I'm slightly disappointed with the new Sarcolytic

Not that its a bad album. Theres some kick ass songs on it but eh. Maybe I'll grow on it. Surely I'll give it a couple more spins.

I think they put too much work into it for me to regard it as a letdown. The production is about what I expected (unfortunately not very good) though, I will say that.

I agree. But it just sounds almost like a standard tech death release. Just with more atmosphere to it I guess...
