Condemned is still T.B.A., but it will be out in 2011. Hopefully early 2011..

I'm really not surprised about those vocalists.. Matti does guest vocals on a lot of albums.. (including the last Flesh Consumed) Angel just did guest vocals on the new Sypillic. And AJ just did DS. They are all on top of scene at the moment. I would have liked Vladimir to do vox on the sophomore album as well, but whatever.. I am excited about hearing all of these guys do some shit. AJ is my favorite, followed by Angel, so I'm happy to hear these guys spew over Abominable Putridity slams :D
 
I have that, it's the ultimate VR documentary and is an absolute classic of JPDM.

I heard about the new Ezophagothomia and I'll pick it up and give it a shot. I'll review it too.

What the fuck is with the new Abnormality being another 3 song deal? MALLIKA, I HATE YOU, WRITE A GODDAMNED FULL LENGTH, FAGGOTS. I don't want to have to burn the shirt I bought from her.

edit: I also had no fucking clue there was a Braced for Nails album out. That's crazy.

edit 2: man aside from a few of those (a very select few...), slam sucked this year. That isn't counting the bands I haven't heard or given a chance, but there isn't much on there I even care about.
 
I don't think it sucked.. but my tastes have changed a lot since last year. I prefer 90's BDM over almost everything coming out now. There's only 8-10 releases from 2010 that I listen to often.
 
Most things by respected bands ended up being boring or lamer than their debuts, not too many mindblowing new bands coming up, only very few respected bands doing new, awesome stuff.
 
So what you mean is Gorevent and Vulvectomy sophomore albums weren't as great as we expected.. I agree, but Defeated Sanity, Cerebral Effusion, Leptotrichia & Cephalic Impurity albums were enough to make me happy. And the first 2 were better than most the releases last year as well.
 
Out of that entire list, I'd say theres barely 10 albums worth return listens, and only about 5 are great. This was a sad year for slam and bdm in general, and I've gotten tired of it actually. :(
 
The albums you mentioned (malice I mean) are indeed sick (Cephalic Impurity is ehhhhh, maybe it'll grow on me still but despite how much I want badly to like it, I don't really dig it that much...it's okay I guess).
 
Every year can't be great.. Be positive. Next year we get some new Abominable Putridity, Condemned, Wormed, Gorgasm, Down From The Wound, Rest In Gore, Human Mastication, Ezophagothomia and Guttural Secrete among others.
 
Haven't heard Leptotrichia, but the other 2 malice mentioned + Goretrade were all really good bdm albums this year imo. I also quite liked SBPU and Gortuary's new ones. Also the Vomitous EP was pretty solid.
 
the short bus pile up and writhing afterbirth cds are pretty much the only two cds on that list that i still listen to. it doesnt help that im not really very metal anymore.
 
I need to catch up on a few listens but I agree this year was not as great as years past. I'm not as down on the new Vulvectomy as others, but it did seem like there was a lack of solidly good albums. By that I mean albums that have no obvious flaws but aren't amazing. Albums that would fill out the bottom half of a top ten. Right now I feel very excited about five albums or so, and then after that I don't really know.
