Sup y'all

Im still in Mauritius over here, and for some odd reason i was jamming on some riffs which at least to my untrained ears sounded a little death metally (probably still not tr00, kvlt and/or grvm) but whatever, its a fun new kinda sound i have been messing with, and i like where its going!

Here is a clip of what i have so far, its called "Zyglrox" and you can check it out
on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/iambulb (2nd song on the list mind you)
or on soundclick at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=147108&songID=6143598

Enjoy!

Brutal!

Possibly my favorite thing I have heard from you. And the recording sounds amazing, as always. If I'm not mistaken you use a Podxt for guitars. How do you make it sound so open, and clean. My patches always sound digitally and harsh.

That sounds killa,How did you program the drums at :31 thru:38 sec. I've been trying to nailo that groove and cant get it.Could you run thru it real quick.

A blast like that is usually bell on the 1st and 3rd kick hits, regular ride hits on the 2nd and 4th. No one on earth could possibly keep up 16 notes the whole time with one hand on the ride!!! Haha...

Here's an mp3 of the most common types of blasts...
www.cjmmachinery.com/blasts.mp3

In order...
Normal blast beat (one-footed blast, but I would say most guys these days play them with two feet...)
Suffoblast
Cannibal Blast
Gravity Blast
Bomb Blast
Hyperblast

aw thanks a lot dudes!!
derfbonker: yeah its podxt, i just spent a lot of time eqing the patch on the pod and in the mix.

rupture: dss3 nailed it, and its does alternate with the bell and the ride hit to make it more realistic, i also lowered the snare velocity so it wouldnt sound like a triggered blast, because 16ths at 250bpm are pretty insane to hit naturally at full velocity hehe.

Good for the blast beat noobz (Kevin Talley explains all this stuff quite well in his instructional video)

ok guys! its been updated!
slightly rearranged a few bits, mixed a smidge better and its 2 mins longer now yay!

And is that the Big Bottom model?

Hey, if you have a pod then go download his Big Bottom Patch on
http://line6.com/customtone/library just search for Bulb.
I hope this was ok for me to share... I'm guessing so otherwise it wouldn't be available but still :P

Its a great tone.
some of his others too, really like the clean tone.
Work fine on a Podx3L too.

Hey Misha are you going to be making use of the Dual tones on your Pod x3L? if so if you come up with Any awesome sounds on that will you be making them available?

Just really like the clarity, you have a good ear for it.
