Bust a gut, or lose some brain cells: Random things you find on the net

Muzt....resist......the temptation to play.......

Damn you. :)

Do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's crazy how much work goes into these and then your see some folks beat them with just 2 to 5 parts. Some of the solutions are way over my head.

Watch this one. When the Victory window comes up, hit Back quickly to see the genius of this. This guy went through all the levels and did it where he moved the block to the goal area, then returned the block to the starting area.

Very cool!!!!! I am not clever enough to come up with the complex machines. I like the thread about getting it done with just a few pieces and I am going back and trying some over again with that in mind. Grant it, I have not completed all of them yet.

I still have not tackled “tube” but I saw a solution using 2 wheels and 1 stick. I was thinking much larger than that but when I saw the 3 piece solution it changed the way I look at these.

This is a lot of fun. The great thing about it is that there are so many possibilities to beating one puzzle. You can go for complexity, or simplicity or just plain fun.

This was just for fun and not function. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=194654

This one is more with simple in mind.

And even less parts in this one.

You can beat rolling away with no parts. Just position the target over the hill and it will fall and roll into the target.

I had no idea. Apparently, the song "Walking in the Air" by Nightwish comes from an animated movie called, "The Snowman". It was parodied in a commercial for a soft drink called Irn Bru (pronounced Iron Brew).

Here's my solution to Mission to Mars, which doesn't involve a catapult per se: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=276554

And here's mine for Around the Bend...basically I got lucky; this worked the first time: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=210902 As an added bonus, that sphere wayy at the lower left gets rolled off the cliff, too. :)

Of course, that map can be done with NO additional pieces at all, just using gravity and initial placement.

I had some fun with this 'cross the gap' map: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=300074

And this contraption, which accidentally saves itself at the end: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=231747

Now, if only I could solve the Tube. :)
