Thats a cool bit, one of my favourite parts of the song is the little muffled acoustic bit at 2:58 with that wierd effect on it. Also I love the fairground sounding part.
I disagree. 2.38-2.48 is so much more powerful. IMO 1.59 - 2.18 is just setting the listener up for 2.38; you're expecting the same fast beat but you receive something so much slower and potent. But man I love 8.55, especially if you play the acoustic section over the top.
I think it's one of the best songs on Deliverance anyway.
It has awesome rhythms and I love everything about it, but especially the "circus-part" and final at 8:06 0wnz
What time signature is that part in?
I always count: 3/4, 3/4, 3/4, 3/4, 3/4, 3/4, 10/4
Gets me confused everytime, cause it's 1/4 extra and the drumming does the rest.
I imagine I wouldn't even be able to play that on guitar and I usually get the idea of strange time signatures fast.
It's 3/16 x 12 + 4/16 + 3/16 + 2/16 + 3/16 + 4/16 x 2 for every repeated part. That's how I count them, not standard notation. In all, there's 56 beats o), though it's a bit funny to call it 56/16 (or 28/8 or 14/4) because it's made of several parts (you could say it's 6/8 x 3, 3/4 x 1, 2/4 x 1 I guess). It is quite difficult to get cause during some parts the accents are not so audible and the rhythm is pretty fast.
Edit: Forgot a beat!
Edit2: For some reason, I forgot how to add! (I had added to 52...)
