I'm posting a bit late, but maybe someone still sees it........

If you see us, come and say hi  !

I'm wearing glasses now though, no more #$*&$#&%# contacts after 24 years ;) More pics on http://truemetal.org/marlies/

BS didn't play this year, but a lot of other cool bands did :)
Only, I have some backproblems at the moment and I wasn't able to see them all. I went back to the hotel around 5.30pm on both days, so I missed the headliners (but I had seen them all in previous years, and I did see my favorites like Nevermore, Jag Panzer, Vicious Rumors, Morgana Lefay............ :)

One thing I could've done without was the scorching heat (36°C/97°C) on Friday, my backpains of course (not too bad, but still didn't let me enjoy a full BYH as usual) and the horrific thunderstorm in Fridaynight that destroyed thousands of tents, caused 500 campers to be evacuated, flooded the area (12-20 inches suddenly!) etc. We were SO happy we were in a hotel for the first time...............

my review for Morrigan's Pit is still in the works, Nico is still scanning his live pics, but we do have our simple "fun" pics online on our personal homepage:

I see that you survived BYH. I'm happy that I chose not to drive to Balingen this year. The billing wasn't good for me.
What about Wacken?

oh no! you'll be at Wacken? We won't........

thanks for the compliments on the
I like them too, although I don't feel as metal with them somehow. But I'm fed up with 24 years of contacts troubles. I had glasses "on the side" but they weren't very good and I only used them before bedtime, right after getting up etc. A year ago I had a tiny scratch on my eye and had to wear the glasses for a few weeks - high time to get a new and well-measured pair! I was told to wear the lenses less hours a day, and more and more I found myself wearing the glasses ALL day, because they are MUCH more comfortable!!!! The last time I tried to wear the lenses again I could feel how my eyes felt more tired immediately, and that was it. I'm DONE with my contacts. Hooray for my glasses!
But laser surgery is certainly something I'm considering for the future! Unfortunately I've also heard of some cases where it wasn't corrected a 100% and they still need (lighter) glasses. I don't know how big that 'risk' is, that would be a waste of money :erk:

I wear glasses and I consider myself very metal!:dopey::rock: How was Nevermore's set?:hypno:

oh i know i AM metal, just wondering if others still see that  I guess it's just a vanity thing, but I am getting used to it ;)

Nevermore was awesome of course!!!!!!!!!!!! Since day 2 started hours later because of the devastations of the thunderstorm, all bands played only 15-20 mins until they caught up. Nevermore only played Enemies Of Realities, The Heart Collector, The River Dragon Has Come and Sound Of Silence (asking for a moshpit!). It was short but SWEET! And they played my favorite, the Heart Collector, so I was damn happy!

I couldn't make it this time, glad you had no problem with the storm Marlies! A friend of mine had is tent destroyed but nothing more fortunately.

Ah, and Brainstorm would have deserved to be amongst this "best of BYH" ;)
