to be honest.
I liked the production of the first 2 records better.
they were much more ambient and the vocals blended in much better with the music.
now the vocals are overly forward for their style.
but that's just my take on it.
they are however one of my FAVOURITE bands.

All of their albums are stunning. At first I thought the vox were way too loud in this album too, but then I realized that it works really well.

Amazing band!
I love the new record, the first two are good too but the new record feels much more organic and song-oriented to me.

I quite like it. Reminiscent of Mars Volta imho. The mix is a ballbag though - vocals ARE way too loud!!

Circa is amazing. Took me a bit to get used to them but after I did, I really started to appreciate the level of talent in this band. I'm also a fan of the production on the first two discs a bit more than the new one. I think the way the vocals are mixed on the newest one make Anthony sound even more like a small child, haha. Either way, thanks for reminding me of this. I haven't listened to it in a while.
And yes, Sasoin ruled with Anthony. Not so much with Cove.

I know. When I heard their first song on the new album.. I was said 'who the fuck is this?!'.. then I got used to it and liked it.

I've seen them live a few times and wasn't super impressed with Cove, nor was I completely put off. But I did recently come across a bootleg performance of Cove's first show with Saosin and it was quite possibly the worst shit I have ever heard. I would have been seriously re-considering my choice with him based on that show alone.
