Late to the party on this thread...
We have CoD 4 and I kid you not, my 7 year old punishes me in multi, the runt! I am very good with Battlefield 2 (PC) and have played that for years. I don't know if it is getting used to the Xbox controller I am having issues with or if my kid is just that good! I think he's just good.... he kicks my ass in Star Wars Battlefront too grrr.. lol.
He's playing Assassin's Creed right now and loving it.

After playing Metroid so much for the Wii, I couldn't imagine playing a FPS any other way. It just seems so slow paced, trying to line up your shot with the two joysticks... It's fun to run and jump and instantly aim and shoot with the gun trigger (B button) on the Wii.... Metroid is a really cool but super challenging game, mostly in the maze-like level design.... but yeah. I mean, I do still want an Xbox but I'll probably totally bury my nose in Lost Odyssey and the fun RPGs there.
I always liked playing the shooter games in the arcade, Wii just brings that home.
Heck, if they released a Counter-Strike / TFC port for the Wii that had bots for multiplayer, I'd be all over that!

Hey, haha! I bought an xbox elite like 2 days ago with Lost Odyssey -- AWESOME! I am new to this so it's confusing but I think I sent a voice message to paul.... I don't have COD4 yet but friendship is good nonetheless. My gamertag is Oinkness. If anyone here sees this and is my friend, add me up, and if nothing else we could enjoy some voice chatting apparently. But yeah, Lost Odyssey for the moment. Sweet game.
Btw I've had it for 2 days and the elite froze while I was signing up for xbox live silver! Darn microsoft, hahah! Had to turn it off and back on! And it was only on for like half hour.

Stay away from COD4. Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is the way to go. Of course, I'm in the minority on that I guess.

Everybody is on this COD4 high, and Paul and I don't get it. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has got to be the best first person shooter game ever made for a console.

that's like saying it's the best double-bass work ever done under a 150 bpm. it might still be interesting, but it just doesn't compare to the real thing. a real fps is played with keyboard and mouse!

My favorite PC FPS shooter is Red Faction, I still prefer FPS games on the console systems like XBOX over the computer. The computer is great for playing strategy games like Command and Conquer, there will never be a console game that matches PC games in that genre.Similar threads
