I know there's at least one person on here other than me who rides a motorbike (Ralphe??). Hands up who does! And do you mind if I ask you a few questions? (well, there's one....)

Metal is good. :D

A sad note, yet another rider was killer on the Great Ocean Rd yesterday.

I own a honda CR500r that I use for MX racing and a small 3 wheeler I bought for my girlfriend :D

Here's a pic

I wanna get the Real Live Eddie thing air-brushed on my tank.
Or maybe spray it all dark blue and go with the Live After Death version.

Or maybe just save money and leave it. :)

Mine's a pretend Harley. Yamaha XV Virago 250.
I think Stu used to own one too.

Some cool songs about bikes or with bikes in them are:
Desert Plains: Judas Priest
Painkiller: Judas priest
Born To Be Wild: Steppenwolf
Mean Man: WASP

Nice bike, Soul!

Can you guys tell me what the situation is with riding on L and P plates? I've got my Ls, but have only ever ridden her in Indo (don't have a bike in Melb). How powerful can your bike be? Are there any motorbike-specific road rules?

I'd like to get perhaps a 200cc bike when in Melb. The one I ride here is only 125cc. How much would a reasonable one cost? And how much do registration and insurance cost?

Thanks folks.

250cc max while on L's and P's.
Must be on L's 3 months and P's 12.
You cannot carry a pillion passenger while on L's or P's.
You can easily pick up a good 250 for around $3k.
Insurance will be about $200 (3rd party), or less depending on your age.
Rego is about $150 or something.

Fuel economy on bikes rule! I'm saving $20 a week by riding my everywhere, average 350k's per week. And my ute's on gas!
