Gonna be getting a Nikon 5200. Should I save myself some money and get a refurbished one or go for brand new for about 70 bucks more? I've got 30 mins to decide

what kind of warranty for each? while i'm not always concerned about warranties on items, it can be the make or break deciding factor between new and used.

New: 1 year

were it me, i'd go used. i look at warranties as an "is this a lemon" form of protection, you should know within 90 days.

but don't blame me if it spontaneously combusts on day 91.

I'd get refurbished except I used to know two guys who troubleshooted computer boards and they would send them back out knowing they were screwed up and they didn't care.

Won my camera for 197 canadian. (Nikon 5200).

For a comparison. Most retail 3.2 megapixel cameras are 270 bucks around here. This one is a hell of a lot better than those.
