Just had a chat with Deron then - it seems that banning the word drugs was to combat a bunch of troll posters that were spamming General Music Discussion with their products (drugs, obviously).

There we go, mystery solved.

What did you do there, and how did it trick the forum? Was it just the change of colour?

Adding the tags in the middle of the word makes it so the browser doesn't actually render the word drugz, but the word with the html inside it as a whole.
