Can line level damage my guitar pre-amp ???

Hi,

I mistakenly fed a line-level signal to my mesa boogie pre-amp for a couple of hours....it still works but :

Could such a signal damage my amp ?

It shouldn't damage it at all, it would just sound like poop.
