Can we get a HELL YEAH for Dissection - The Somberlain?

I can't decide if I like The Somberlain or Storm of the Light's Bane the most. But At the Fathomless Depths / Night's Blood is one of the best god damn songs ever done, metal or not.

Recording to start in September with Peter Tägtgren. :kickass:

When I first "discovered" Dissection, I bought Storm just because that was the one you were supposed to love, it being more well-known and all. Of course I loved it. But I have to say, now that I've heard them both a zillion times each, The Somberlain is a much better album (IMO of course).

"Heaven's Damnation" has quite possibly my favorite merging of evil lead guitar riff & drum blasting.

You'll get more than a hell yea from be on both Dissection albums, although i dont actually know what that would be. The Somberlain may be my favorite album ever. That CD was in my CD player for like a year straight after i bought it. Although i think a favor it ever so slightly over SOTLB, i still think there both brilliant albums.

Yeah, I have The Past is Alive. For demo songs, it's actually quite good.

I also have the Where Dead Angels Lie MCD.

Dream, where'd you locate that MCD? I assume you're talking about having the original, right? I only have the re-packaged add-on to the digipack for SOTLB.

I have one too, picked it up sealed copy at a local music store several years back. Snoogins.

Definitely in my top 2 albums by Dissection list. Storm is still slightly better, no album has a better three in a row song line-up: Retribution - Storm of the light's bane followed by Thorns of crimson death followed by Soulreaper.
