I think that CC is a decent American death metal band but deffinetely not the greatest band. I like to listen to them when im angry.

CC are very average shock metal. However, they do have some of the greatest song titles ever made.

I found quite a few of the song titles hilarious, not so sure it's shock metal. However they are rather generic often times, not as bad a s benediction....but for how much longer?

Its shock metal. Simply structured songs, offensive song titles and violent graphic covers. It's not serious metal.

I must disagree with you, most early death metal had those samethings. It's still considered death metal. Nor was it mainstream when started for it to have any shock impact.

Hmm fair enough, I do agree that a lot of early bands did also have a lot of offensive content involved. I could never treat CC as a serious band, and some of the titles are purely meant to shock, I mean singing about being a necrophiliac, if these guys were serious, they'd be in prison. How ever other bands like death and cynic, were far more serious and weren't purely meant to shock people and gross them out. But I can see your point.

For the thing about CC, I don't take them very seriously, I mean are some riffs in there that are catchy, such as the string skipping riffs on The Bleeding. It's not exactly the simplest thing to stick in a song like that. So some credit to Rob barret who I think is good at wht he does.

Then again I don't take everything I listen to seriously, such as lyrics in power metal, silly vocals in death metal, the image in black metal.
