Car I will be purchasing - is it worth it?

Things wrong with buying a monster car:
A) A car is transportation, not a fucking investment. Car value depletes with time and use, and requires maitenance. This car will consume your cash at three bucks or more a gallon, and your time maintaining cleanliness and performance.
B) If it can go the speed limit, who gives a fuck if it can go faster? You can only drive it the LEGAL speed limit on the road anyways. Driving isn't a competition.
C) People who buy these kinds of things ooze "insecure". Go ahead and tell the world how small your cock is.

Well, first there has to be a definition of what a 'monster car' is. Does it include a lot of horsepower, etc?

I'm not knocking you, but there are different definitions for a monster car.

Dave referred to his car as a "Monster".

I was saying, theres no use in fast/fancy cars.

Normal cars do the job just as good.

it's a fucking mustang, stop talking about it as if it's a ferrari. 18 Mpg basically means I am spending 100 - 140 a month on gas. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM SO STOP TALKING ABOUT IT

not everything in life is about saving money. This is more of a passion thing for me, I don't give a shit that I would be saving 50 bucks a month on gas If I drove a piece of shit toyota

it can't be people who just love fast and beautiful cars can't it?

If you want me to send you a picture of my cock, just ask. Otherwise shut the fuck up

I would rather drive a Toyota over a Mustang.

I would rather drive a Toyota over a Mustang.

I have driven a toyota and currently drive a honda accord 2001

both are absolute trash compared to the beauty, the power and the incredible performance of a mustang saleen GT

why don't you people understand that it's about my passion for the car? it's not about the difference of 40 or 50 dollars a month on gas or the extra 60 dollars a month on insurance, it's about my passion for the vehicle.

Dave. Why did you ask if you've made your mind up? Newer more expensive sporty cars cost more to run, register, maintain and insure. If you've factored EVERYTHING in and you still think you can afford it, then do it. But be warned - the novelty of having a 'dream car' will most likely wear off after about 6 months, and then you're stuck with it and the expenses.

There are plenty of smaller cheaper to run vehicles that go fast and have great handling & acceleration. I drive a VW Golf GTI and it'd probably corner 10 times better than that behemoth of a vehicle you're thinking of purchasing.

but VW golf looks like a very average and generic car

you look at that saleen and it demands attention from a mile away, truly a behemoth on 4 wheels :kickass:

what people don't seem to understand is that car is nothing more than a mustang + shitload of (cosmetic) alterations. A regular mustang GT is not that difficult in terms of running/maintaining etc... It's a pretty average value, nothing more nothing less.

you would have a point if I had the saleen engine installed and then made the car 400 - 500 Horsepower, but I am not going to touch the engine at all.

If you buy a car for ANYTHING aside from transportation purposes, you're a complete and utter cocksucker. Obviously we don't need this to tell us that about Dave, but it certainly does add to that mountain of proof we have.

Mind you I do dream of owning a '69 Corvette Stingray because of how damned amazing they look, but I never denied being a cocksucker.

 I love how you make these sweeping generalizations

I suppose the tens and millions of car enthusiasts out there are all utter and complete and cocksuckers

people have different passions and different things that they enjoy, you need to understand that and then STFU

Yeah. Toyotas are the most reliable car on the market imo. Last forever.

I never understood all the hate for civics other than 'ZOMG ALL THE RICERZZZZ DRIV DEMMMZZZZ'

Fucking retarded logic. Who cares what the 0-60 time is on a car? They all accelerate to 60 MPH.

Exactly, it's not like you are going to actually going to race in your car, because you don't want to risk getting in an accident. So you have all that bullshit for nothing.

no, most people that are car enthusiasts know more about cars than just how fast and big it is and repair or collect cars and don't do stupid street modifications like yours. all the ones that are are either street racers or just people showing off that are attention whores trying to get everyone to say wow look how much money he has that car is expensive which sounds like what you're trying to do.

You don't need a fucking car at all. People that ride a bike or take public transport will be laughing when you will be shelling out half your wages for fuel in a few years when it becomes scarce as gold.

Sweeping generalizations, rule, noob.

People who spend extra money on anything except engine upgrades or stereo systems are wasting their money.
