this is my first time here and my nameis J.P fromBrazil
i´ma guitarrist and i´m (as my nickname shows) fascinated by unholy distortion sounds.
I Would like to know if anyone have any clue of what pickups/amps bill and amott used on heartwork album
it has an awesome sound.

Marshall Sl-X, Marshall 30th Anniversary, Marshall Mini Full Stack...Live Peavey 5150 with Marshall Guv'nor pedal(first issue) in front. Bill, various Sabre models including the Frank Gambale model FGM 100 and Mike Amott mostly Ibanez RG models. Mike Hickey(toured on Heartwork) used RG 565's

The end result was a 5150 mixed with a bit of Marshallc; nobody knows about the pickups, so far, but many have suggest stock or a Dimarzio Super II, IIRC.
