I took in the first night of this tour yesterday....

Holy Hell

Carcass was incredibly tight. I guess the Necrophagist tour was lumped into this one, so there were an obscene number of bands on this package. If this tour is coming near you, GO. It is not everyday that a legendary metal band reforms. If you even consider yourself a casual fan, it is well worth the trip!

Another thing I found awesome about the show....

My local venue has a max capacity of roughly 2000 people. I would venture a guess that they sold roughly 1500 tickets to this show. I LOVE seeing this venue packed for metal tours.

I hope Rotten Sound gets a longer set since Necro and Dying Fetus won't be there in Atlanta.

And I hope Aborted didn't drop off the tour.....I read they didn't show up last night

I need to find a ride and a friend to go with in 6 days :erk:

I skipped this for the same reason. It would have been a $60 hit to my wallet at a time when I need to be watching nonessential expenses.

What was the setlist like?

Same as European reunion shows:

Carcass:
1. Intro Tape
2. Inpropagation
3. Buried Dreams
4. Intro Tape
5. Corporal Jigsore
6. Carnal Forge
7. Intro Tape
8. Incarnate Solvent Abuse
9. No Love Lost
10. Edge of Darkness
11. This Mortal Coil
12. Embodiment
13. Intro Tape
14. Reek of Putrefaction
15. Keep on Rotting
16. Genital Grinder
17. Rotten to the Gore
18. Death Certificate
19. Intro Tape
20. Exhume to Consume
21. Ruptured (Intro)
22. Heartwork
23. Carneous (Outro)

Rotten Sound:

1. Targets
2. Units
3. Feet First
4. Colonies
5. Blind
6. Void
7. Insects
8. Burden
9. Sell Your Soul
10. V.S.A.
11. Victims
12. The Effects
13. Praise the Lord

The only band I am not familiar with is Rotten Sound, but I am going to check them out now. Necrophagist would be the main pull for me, and I do like Carcass's heartwork, but Necrophagist just kicks my ass, and I love me some 1349 as well(Frost has played for everybody it seems).

What was the setlist like?

From the Worcester show:

I work a second job at Applebee's and there's a dude who works there that claims he used to drum for them. His name is Angelo? Is this fact or fiction?

Haha I seriously doubt it's fact.

But who knows, maybe he's from the same city as them in the UK and tried out when they first started out.
