CD baby? anybody have any experience

I was just curious if anyone has used or know anyone who uses Cd baby and if you think its a pretty good all in one solution for getting your shit sold online?

We've used CD Baby for both of our releases. I actually grabbed my barcode and ISRC codes through their service. Since our last release (2007). CD Baby was sold to DiskMakers. I've read about some people being unhappy with their service, but it's been the same since the changeover. I think the overall big picture and direction may not be going in the same direction as Derek Siver's initial intent (100% DIY), but the services they offer are the same. I have nothing to complain about with CD Baby. And, with NO promotion at all, we've been able to sell a LOT of CD's and digital DL's through the CD Baby site itself, so that's been great. And, obviously using them as a way to get on most major digital distro sites is a plus.

Does your CD have to be an exclusivity of CDBaby or can you use another way of selling your CD, besides ?

I believe that CD Baby is non-exclusive...

To my knowledge for digital distribution deal is exclusive but you can sell your own physical cds if you wish.

CD Baby is great, non-exclusive and their customer service is second to none. I've been with them for 8 years now and will continue to use them for all my releases.

Its non-exclusive, At least when they first started. My band has a CD Baby account aswell as iTunes and distro through Relapse.
