Celestion G12m

Hi!

I just wanted to know if anybody here has an idea if all speakers labeled "g 12m" by celestion are referred to as greenbacks. I ask this because my speakers do not have a "green back". They are black.
So they have to be called "black backs"?!
And do they sound different than the real greenbacks?
Any ideas?

Yes, the black back g12m are just greenbacks with a black back. (I guess you can play back in black with them... Duh! )
Not every greenbacks sound the same though but that's a matter of age. Pre-Rola are the more sought after.
But green back=black back= grey back.
Some have a reasonant peak at 55hz (i guess it's the bass cone version) and other at 75hz.
