What did you expect? Libertarians are the main people that are irritated by the census.

I figured it was mostly racists who think Mexicans are taking all of the good jobs from 'normal' people. People like razoredge who "know what thats all about." Anyway, in what way do you mean that the census isn't legal, in terms of libertarian philosophy, or in terms of US governmental law? Frankly, I don't honestly give a shit whether or not the government is 'authorized' by divine right to know that I'm of caucasian heritage if it somehow benefits society as a whole through other evil means that the government illegally does. Nor do I care that the government can't legally force people to buy something that they should already have like health insurance. Legality is not nearly as interesting or important to me as is helping people through reasonable means. But we've discussed this before and I don't feel like getting angry and you're on the crazy pills right now so we probably shouldn't get into this any further, eh?

Illegal immigration is at its lowest point in the last decade; in fact, there are less illegal immigrants in the US now then there were two years ago, maybe even five years.

Furthermore most Native American tribes do not gain money, only certain tribes do. Most do not though.

I'm an American though so I guess I should fill this out? Maybe my parents will do it.

As a person studying history I love censuses. They are a snapshot of the demographics of the country and the data incredibly interesting. Usefulness aside I think this is an important reason to do it.

Is that why they need to know the race of each person in your household?

This is an interesting dilemma. We now know that race is a social constructed thing with no real meaning. However due to a historical circumstances there is (often extreme) racial inequality in America. The government could ignore and hope it goes away (unlikely) or it could try to help. Libertarians will bitch about the government intervening but they can fuck off.

Im glad you see my point. It exists everywhere and I for one would be happy if America stopped trying to be "the world". So why did you ask what I was talking about ?

You don't think people should try to stomp it out domestically, though? We already have a TON of immigrants who are citizens and the White Utopia of White Whiteness is impossible.

I dont think that is anything specific to "White" though, only if you happen to be white in a country that has become self loathing of its "whiteness". Personally I dont know how much inequality really still exists but I do believe its rode like a foaming horse. To me it appears that many racial boundries may exist within their own racial cultures. Regardless these things can not be overcome until THIS country begins worrying ONLY about its current population and their work resources. You can not improve the quality of schooling, life, attitude and other negative aspects of poverty until you put work at adequate wages for the cost of living across the entire nation.

Its a simple concept to me and I cant see why no one gets it... I really cant. I can see why its near impossible given the population size and extreme of the problem but for fucks sake it seems more than just an "effort" (smoke screen) should be made.

You seem to place "whiteness" in a separate category from "their racial cultures" as if our race relations problems are coming from abroad rather than from within. Sure there are a boatload of problems caused by cultural clashes with recent immigrants and reluctant long-term citizen brigades, assimilation problems, etc.

I do agree that USA should be looking out for #1 at all times.

Hell I live in an area that has its percentage of a less than appropriate white culture. Twists and narrow focusing or singleing out some little statement and jumping to conclusings is never the best way to go.

Now about the other cultures from abroad ? If its OK for them to be proud of their culture and retain it... which I believe it is within degrees that dont overly impede assimilation... why the hell does all the self loathing of American past or present culture suddenly turn any white person that speaks their mind on the subject into a racist bigot ? To me that is the jumping to conclusions and continued riding of the foaming horse... while ignoring all other racial pride.

There is much about my contries past and ALL of humanities past to not be proud of but for some reason I feel my race is the only one held accountable. Yet so many strive to get a piece of it.... go figure.

You're probably held accountable because you're still "on top" as far as U.S. race relations go, and seem hell bent on staying on top as though you have personally earned that status.
