Chance meeting with Eric

I ran into Eric while getting my Darkane's Rusted Angel today.

Damn, only after the fact can I think of a thousand questions I would have asked, but...

He spoke more about Exodus' new release than anything else -- Tempo's release has been pushed back to late March, not March 9th -- so I hear. About getting Exodus on the Avalon bill...not his decision but would love to have them there! Recording in East Bay to start after this months' weekend shows in NJ, MN, and SF, but should be done prior to summer touring in Europe. Two months -- seems like a tight schedule to me. Might see some new material at the stateside shows, too.

Just like VicRattlehead, I would have asked a whole lot more shit if I knew this was coming...After letting him know I'm on TL, he said he doesn't like the 'rag' -- wants it to stay on metal and Testament.

Never met him before, another really cool metalhead...my stock in Testament just went up!

im sorry to hear he doesnt like the board... its more of a meeting place with people that like the same music, and especially one specific band.... and when we'll have something about Testament to discuss about- we will!

Eric has no problem with fans whatsoever. What he doesn't care for is reading about "what he did or said outside of music, or his band(s)" on this forum.

What person doesn't want his/her own privacy when it comes to their personal life? I agree with him 200% on this.

it´s sometimes difficult for me understanding english terms and meanings, this is why I often ask things hehe ..... I agree on that musicians want to speak about music and not about their private lives. But I think a lot of threads on the TL board are about music and not private things ;-)

Exactly.......Most threads are music related, & I don't remember ever reading a thread on Eric's personal life, what he said or did(aside from this one)......correct me if I'm wrong......Also when you choose to go down that path of a succesful musician, then you have to expect to be a "focus"......when you are spotted in public, and have to expect that people will comment on your behavior, and or actions, it comes with the territory.....and the internet is a means of media, so thats to be expected.......IMO........any press is good press, and if you act good or bad in public, people can find out about through a variety of means available.......To me this board is very special, if it was'nt I'd read it, every once in awhile, but never post..........So I love this "Rag", & most the people who are apart of this board, its a meeting place, where music is the main agenda, but has some gossip, jokes, news items, polical views, interviews, reviews, up-coming groups, sold out groups, calendar of events, & alot more(I could go on)......than your average Band boards have to offer........Bottom Line: It's a good thing........but not for everyone........I choose to be here & interact & share.........It's a matter of choice........just like some people prefer to read the newspaper....others watch the news on TV, some do both, some niether........The TL Board is what it is........Eric may Call it a "Rag"........But this "rag" was conceieved in his bands name & honor!
