Recently I bought a second-hand Mayones Regius 6 Gothic Blakkheim, it's the signature model from Anders Nyström (Bloodbath, Katatonia). I really love everything about this guitar exept the Fernandes sustainer. The sustainer is a nice toy but I really don't like it as a neck pickup...low output and thin sounding so I want to change it. The bridge pickup is a Dimarzio D-Sonic which is cool (I use B-tuning).
With so many pickups available it's kind of hard to choose a good replacement so I used the pickup-finder from Dimarzio which suggested Liquidfire, Breed Neck, Air Norton. Can anyone help me choose one of these or recommend me another cool neck pickup (preferably Dimarzio) for good lead tones (sweep picking etc) and some nice clean tones. THX!
The Regius has a Swamp Ash body, stoptail.
