I am getting loads of re-amping requests lately from forum members.
What's the going rate for the first song then subsequent songs?
Obviously the first song will take time to set up then the rest take very little time.
Also need to take into account how many layers in the song(s)

I have no idea what to charge:loco:
Thanks in advance.

really depends on the quality of your work, how many individual guitar layers, amount of gear and range of mics etc. I see $30-$40 somewhat common among the better guys, some guys do up to $100 and higher. I would say start at $30 and see how that works. I mean I imagine you could get the mic/amp setup and mostly ready in about an hour. Then it's just a matter of hitting play.

That being said you have some great guitar tones, so shop around and see what the other guys charge. Biggest thing I would say is don't undersell yourself

What I've been telling people I do is it's 10€ a take per song, but if someones doing multiple songs for an E.P or an album then I can do a lower rate. Once everything is set up and ready for one song, it's not really all that much time to process more songs so I can do them for less. 10€'s not that expensive but it adds up to worthwhile over a couple of tracks. I can set up my amps and do a few reamping sessions throughout a day and once you've the hard work done it's all realtime so I can be doing other small jobs too.

I just got around to setting up my facebook page having been going on word of mouth up until now, one of the things I am offering is reamping. Seems a no brainer to offer the service when you already have all the gear and the knowledge.

I think I do a pretty damn good job reamping and I'm currently at $30 per song. It seems to cover my work and I'm happy with that. But charge what you can and what you feel your work is actually worth. What would YOU pay you?
