geez a very tough one to choose....hmmm....:erk: i gotta go with chuck..:worship: he is very technical i think he gots the whole drum roll thing on the toms, snare and ride cymbol going on...he is fast but not as fast as dave..but the one thing with dave that i've notice in my opinion it just sounds like if you are listening to him on fastword on your tape or cd player and thats it..but although dave is fucking fast.. amazing man..gives me chills when I listen to him... charlie has that technique going on with his style and with his feet too. I think it doesn't really matter how fast you play but how your technique carries u...

I think nicko mcbrain is the best....but this is thrash metal and nicko does not play thrash metal......listen to caught somewhere in time and listen to his foot work playing on the bass drum parts... you'll know what i mean...:worship:

p.s.
charlie can play guitar as well:rock: ..I think that's pretty cool...

Charlie, hands down, its all about technique....but he is the first drummer I ever really got into, and I got to talk with him a few times, so I am biased. Dave is damn, DAMN, good, but Charlie has the whole groove factor, and a drum beat that is 100% memorable, not just all speed all the time.
BTW, Hows those cabinets man?? :worship:

If I had to give them a numerical score out of 100. Charlie would be a 100, and Dave wuold be a 98.9

I'm gonna get bashed for this but........... Dave L....

Goes to show how much you know. I respect the fact that you dig the current state of Anthrax with Belladonna at the helm of the mic. I'm enjoying it as well. But, Charlie represents what John Bonham was all about. Which is tremendous beats to tremendous riffs.

if you hear show no mercy and fistfull of metal
you will understand that charlie showed up with
many ideas but dave just played good drums
as the years passed dave have studied charlie's playing
and in some past interviews he admit watching young charlie and learning stuff. But Dave is also a latin american crazy mutherfucka and become
as good as charlie.
i vote for charlie although its stupid to compare musicians.

No brave new world...no brave new world...

One of my favorites and with Adrian Smith, one of my favorite geetarists.

I think Gene Hoglan crushes Charlie and Dave. Then there's Sean Reinert, Richard Christy, Per M Jensen, and Mark Zonder on top of them.
