Even though it's only for two shows, could this really work?

Two of the main reasons why I love seeing this band live is Scott's tone/rythm guitar techniques and Charlie's drumming.

again, Bittner is a machine, and a die hard Anthrax fan.

I know what you're saying. For some reason I was more worried if Jordison came aboard... not because he's a bad drummer, 'cause he's awesome... but because I don't want to hear him play those songs in his style. If anyone heard a bootleg of the Metallica show w/o Lars where Lombardo and Jordison filled in, Joey was throwing some double bass in where it didn't need to be, etc. etc. I want my Anthrax to sound like Anthrax... and going off what I heard when Bittner played A.I.R. a few months back, it'll be just fine. But I'll definitely miss Charlie and his mohawk.

Bittner is a huge Anthrax fan. I'm sure he's going to be shitting himself with excitement at playing these shows, but he's busy with SF. Charlie will be itching to get back. Beats changing diapers!

I heard a bootleg of that, and no harm to Lars, but Jordison owns his fucking ass. :D Joey was awesome. Just showed how dull, lifeless and shite Ulrich is these days. Sorry, don't want to start another Metallica slagging sesh. It must a whole week since we've had one of those. :D

I've seen Metallica at Download 2004 with Jordison on Enter Sandman, and I thought it kicked ass. I could tell that the band was pumped by having Jordison behind the kit. He didn't do anything flashy or anything, but he seemed to add something to it.

Anyway, Bittner is good, but I can't imagine him playing Anthrax. It will be test of his abilities. If he's such a big Anthrax fan, then no worries.

Oh, I'll completely agree that Dave and Joey smoked Lars' ass... but some of the songs with Joey sounded less like Metallica, if you know what I mean. It sounded more like Metallica playing with a guest drummer. Now the songs they did with Lombardo.... holy fucking hell. Now THAT'S a sounds I want at my next Metallica show.

Dave Lombardo rules. Thank God/Satan/Buddha that he returned to the mighty slayer. Saw them live right after he re-joined and it was insane.

It will still kick fucking ass if the guy is a thrax fan. It will still be a great show and shoudlnt affect their live performance at all. If someone like frank left then it might be a bit weird

So you're saying they should've cancelled the last two shows?

I hope you guys are kidding.
