I'm looking for nearfields for my editing room...
I won't do any mixing on them, so a great sound isn't really important, I just need to hear glitches and cracks in drumedits etc, so I guess the cheapest hunk of junk will do....

Any recommendations?

that's true, I usually use cans for that, but sometimes it's cool to have speakers as well..

I might just get an SM PRO AUDIO M-PATCH 2 for now to use with my headphones....
then some cheap monitors later.

thanks guys

If they will ship to Europe, definitely consider Equator D5's. I mix in a small room and I upgraded to these from Rokit 5's, and even though both pairs cost me the exact same price the D5's blow the Rokits off the face of the planet.

Since I've gotten these I've heard little nuances I've never heard before in songs I've been listening to for years, so I'm sure the added quality over other monitors in the price range would compensate for the inconvenience of them being shipped from the USA.
