Check it: Easy way to print tracks in PT LE

yeah, generally speaking, if 5+ are needed, something is wrong.

Uh, how about this...

1. Noise Gate
2. Wagner VST amp sim
3. Impulse plugin
4. EQ
5. Compressor

Oh wait, now I have no room to automate...

6. My favorite chorus
7. My favorite flanger
8. Reverb
9. Delay

I know I could bus those last effects but I like to ultimately print to relieve CPU power.

Yes, most tracks only require a couple of plugs, but some need a lot more. Again, you would think a professional program would present little limitations that impede your creativity.

PT works extremely well for people who work in the analog domain with real amps, drums, etc.

I use real amps and analog EQ. VI's gets printed through outboard. By the time my guitar tracks are in the DAW, they've already been gated, effected, amplified, mic'd, preamplified, and EQ'd.

I'm just used to printing stuff, I guess. It doesn't bother me, I can do it while I'm editing something else, etc. You can still print stuff if your time based effects are on sends.

Why the fuck that guy un-muted the damn track??? Who doesn´t know how feedback sounds? Why the fuck that idiot did that?!

Ouch, my ear...

lmfao. why the fuck didn't you mute your speakers before he did it? you had ample time and he DID warn you.

not like he just umuted it willy nilly just to piss you off bro :)

well if you're going to do things bass ackwards in a way that professionals would never do it it's not very apropos to complain that a professional software package doesn't accommodate you. time-based effects on Aux Inputs, and bussed from each track you need some return from on Sends... that's how it's done. if you insist on doing it otherwise just process with AS plugs in multiple passes.

... and yet every single pro using PT (which is most of them) at the highest plateaus of the industry get by just fine and don't complain. if you really and truly need more than 5 inserts for a given track then it's time to go back to the drawing board with the original tones you recorded.... because there's a problem there somewhere. another way to assuage this "problem" is to use channel-strip type plugs that incorporate gating, compression, and EQ in one plug.... there are several good ones.

yes...
what you said.
and its called metric halo channel strip and im in love with it

The only times I've needed more than 5 plus on a single channel is when there was something severely wrong with the source tracks. I understand the limitation isn't fantastic, but it isn't catastrophic either.

I believe he did unmuted it just to piss me off. And the worst thing I was at the studio I work, in the middle of a vocal recording session, the guys went to grab lunch, and I was checking the net, if it was louder I would have to record the rest of the day with a fuckin´threshold shift.
