Anyfuckinghow, I think the idea of posting the picture (and adress) of a (sexual, or any kind of) offender is fucked! If you feel the person hasn´t done his time you should contact the legislators (lawmakers, right?), instead of this kind of vigilantry. If a guy has done his time, he´s done his fucking time!!!

Well, if it's part of the punishment, then they're still sort of doing their time; they just have more freedom. If it deters people from engaging in crime, I am definitely all for it. Also, if I were a parent, I would damn sure want to know if my kids were near a sex offender. I would pay a lot for this kind of service too.

Also, that is the website of the Attorny General of Ohio. He is the chief law enforcement official of the state. His office receives its funding from the state legislature, so it's hardly "vigilantry."

´Round here it´s just the (public) belief that when people have served their time in prison or in a mental institution, that´s it. People can punished for 'hanging perps out to dry'! Call us soft if you want, but if you´ve done your time, you´ve done your time!!!

They've done their time in prison. That doesn't mean we just pretend like nothing ever happened. Prison doesn't erase the damage that has been done. We don't let convicted sex offenders work in schools or child care facilities either. Are you also opposed to that?

I'm all for protecting civil liberties, but the fact is, if you commit a serious crime, the public should be aware of it. If that's harsh, then don't commit the crime.

I have to agree, otherwise, if I belived it was real, that face would haunt my nightmares for months to come. If it is real, someone should put him out of his misery for his own good.
