Former ANTHRAX guitarist Dan Spitz and IRON MAIDEN drummer Nicko McBrain have joined forces in a brand new project that is "currently recording an extremely heavy album," according to a message posted at the web site of Dean Guitars, with whom Spitz has an endorsement deal. "Together they have sold more than 60 Million albums and have earned six Grammy Nomimations. Dan Spitz, founding member of ANTHRAX and the Godfather of rap-meets-metal, has picked up his guitar again."

We will have more information on this most unusual of pairings as soon as it becomes available.

I´m kinda looking 4ward to hearing his shit too. But I just can´t stand he´s still living off of Anthrax! He talks shit about ´em so much and yet you can see crap about his platinum records and "godfather of rap metal" Hell, HE didn´t sell any record, let alone platinum. He didn´t even write a fuckin´ riff for Anthrax, as far as I´m concerned. He´s pretty good guitarist (or he WAS) but he IS certainly a weird dick and a looney.

That's great. I always appreciated Dan's guitar playing ability. And I'm just glad to see him in the spotlight again. Granted he has talked a lot of shit about Anthrax in the past, but haven't we all talked bad about a previous girlfriend/wife/hooker/crack whore before? Same thing. Kinda. Ok, maybe not. But anyway, I like the fact that they keep saying <insert bellowing deep devilish voice>"EXTREMELY HEAVY"</voice>. So it may be pretty cool.
This is the bad part about the internet. Remember back in the day you found out about a new band/project when it came out, not before. But with the Information Superhighway&reg you can find out months in advance, then you have to sit on your ass waiting for it to culminate. And sometimes the damn thing falls apart before it begins. But I love the internet anyway... you know, because of the porn.
