Hmm. I've been toying around with amp sims for the last two or so years now but I've never been exactly happy with the sound. Guess I should try recording with a microphone. I have a Shure SM58 for vocals already and based on a quick google search it can do guitars as well it so should be easy to get started.I used a Shure SM57 mic, EVH 5150 50 watt head, and a 2x12 mesa boogie rectifier cab. I replaced the pickup in the Jackson RR24 from the EMG81 to a Dimarzio Gravity Storm.
