More stoner than doom overall I think. Their early albums were a bit more Sabbath type doom and they fit quite well the Electric Wizard. Coupe De Grace and Time Travelling Blues are regular spinners for me if I'm in a Black Sabbath type frame of mind.

Wow. This guy's ads are on every channel, nearly every ad break and I haven't once heard him use Twisted Sister in any advert.
The video clip at the bottom is about 2 years old and he's definitely an over confident pig at the tough feeding off the people below him but he's also not a Trump clone. I'm not sure about the legalised abortion thing because it's a states issue not a federal issue so even if Palmer did support it he'd have no power to change it. The guy is rich and has some interesting policies like making politicians accountable and stopping government expenditure but even at his size he will only ever be a small fish in the pond because we have a two party preferred system and his party isn't one of them.
However what I do find interesting is that Jay Jay French is the one who Blabber contacted and he's the one making the threats, yet Snider solely wrote the song. I'm not sure Jay Jay has much grip on the song. However it was only a few months ago Jay Jay was beating his chest in the press about how Twisted Sister knew when to call it quits. So maybe Jay Jay is just suffering retirement envy like KK and is just trying to stay news worthy.

I have no idea but in this day and age where so many people think litigation is the first step I'm surprised any person, politician or not, uses any bands songs without seeking permissions. I realise after the fact one can claim they did and the other can claim they didn't and maybe that is what JJ is doing since Dee does seem to have made statements about it before the ads started, but it's still weird that the news got hold of it so quick.

Okay call me a sceptic up this reeks of two people desperate for media attention having a fight that will create it. There is no doubt Palmer is a media hound, he's a politician trying to win a race where only the first two places count and he's go no hope coming higher than 20th. Dee's also got both speaking and music gigs to sell. He's playing a spoken words gig for every music gig so it's double win for him and none of the gigs are close to sold out as far as I know.
Fat man says he'll sue. Dee says he'll sort it out when he gets here. All I'm seeing is a publicist somewhere in the background making money from this.
