Nice of Blabber to report that Iommi was reaching out.
I suppose the Iommi thing could have been his own publicity team reaching out and saying "Hey look, Tony did good deed write about it." But it just amazes me that the first two articles are so pointless. I wouldn't expect band mates to not wish each other well, I also don't think I need to hear the same shit from Jnr that's been talked about 100 times, yet Blabber thinks both are news worthy? It's either a slow day or Blabber really is becoming the TMZ of metal.

Hehe, I know I'm kind of in a fuck you Dee Snider frame of mind but I was just checking out a few details from recent gigs.
Dee likes to think he's some kind of legend, likes to think he's not riding on the popularity of a few songs from the 80's but his recent Sydney show was in a venue with full capacity listed as 900 people and he didn't sell out because the day before you could still by tickets in blocks of 20 (the max allowed in one transaction).
In comparison Alestorm have sold out in all but one capital city and the gig they are playing tonight in Sydney has sold the full capacity of 2200 tickets. Alestorm also announced their gigs three months after Dee so they've had less time to sell.

Nah they are from Scotland but they do get a pretty good reception down here. Partly because they are a bunch of drunks that fit in really well but also because they actually tour here every few years,not once every 15 years like Dee Snider does.
The stupid thing about Dee riding those songs for all they are worth is that they are worth fuck all to him. Like KK he sold the rights to his own music when he was hard up for money, only Dee sold them back to the record company.

He got canned for trying to sue the rapper guy last year and all it took was the suggestion that Tommy didn't invent the rollercoaster to shut him up and now he wants to claim something KISS have been using variations of for years? Anyone would think the guy has a movie coming out soon he's trying to sell. I hope Gene counter attacks with "You copied KISS and our stage theatrics throughout your entire career".

The stupid thing is that all bands take something from other bands. Even today's bands are borrowing shit from bands of the 80's and before and the bands they are borrowing from borrowed from the bands of the 60's. Very little is new, yet fuck wits like Tommy think publicity is more important than looking like a cock. I suppose when the media is usually full of stories about your son knocking you out and trying to get you admitted to hospital maybe making himself look like a cock isn't the worst thing that could happen.

It's only taken Universal 8 weeks to do something about this bullshit. Going to be hard to argue that there was any damages incurred when they took that long to do anything. Also going to be hard to argue they didn't know about it and that's why they took their time issuing the cease and desist.
All this is going to do is make some fat arse lawyers even richer than they are and I bet Clive's lawyers are being paid shit loads more than Universal can afford. Even if there is a monetary figure dropped by the judge it wont be enough to pay the lawyers. If Palmer gets away with the Christmas carol defence it wont even get to a money settlement.

Yeah well we all know he's got a movie to sell and I am starting to wonder if they have left the run for it too late. I think The Dirt was as much a work of fiction as it was actually recounting events. I'm sure Tommy and Vince especially talked up more than half what they actually did over the years. But the book is 10 years old (or thereabouts) and things have changed, including the fan base they once had. I'm sure the movie will still sell to many people but I think even Tommy knows that it's a hard sell to anyone but die hard fans and for that reason putting himself in the limelight anyway he can is only going to help that sell.
