I actually don't doubt this story at all. As someone who loves shred and the modern guys Fenders were dinosaurs. For people that mainly played the blues or old rock. Not fast and no real tricks. Yngwie was the first guy that made me think Fenders might be good for more than sloppy slow guitar playing. I personally still don't like them but I can see how it may have really helped them.

All comments aside though I do agree with Maiden. Maybe it's not worth $2mill but if someone tried to market Cok or MACDonalds those companies would do the same. It's not about being fooled into thinking one is the other it's about using someone elses name for your own brand recognition.

I think they should be sued for the simple fact that it looks like they are trying to sell a game for the Ps4 but looks like it was made for the PS2.

TBH I didn't even know it was a game when I first saw people talking about it. I first saw it on a tech forum and I thought someone had named their pet tech project with a stupid name, so I clicked on it and found out some stupid person had called their game a stupid name I don't necessarily agree with the whole litigation thing, and I'm not sure about the price, after all did someone related to Maiden not know this game was coming before now? But I'd be pissed if they used my copyright like that.

I don't know whether they get on because of who they are or not. I know they are playing their own shows and tours, but just like Lauren when she put her first album out there was a push from Steve. I wouldn't mind betting they are getting some of their popularity from Steve but they have been around for about 5 years now, I think, so I guess they are also creating their own following.

by then. Clearly Maiden and Priest is a good slot to be on. Just figured they'd have plans set.

I thought their audience would have been more hard rock, but I can't say I've followed what they are doing.

I wonder if a tour like that will even take off. As a one off maybe it would work but putting IM and JP on a tour hasn't managed to work yet, adding Testament and Obituary as well and it's starting to be a big show to move from place to place.

It's probably right. I remember listening to the first song they released and not being a huge fan so I never bothered to follow them. It might well have been Metalcore but I do remember it sounding less heavy and more rockish so that's probably closer to metalcore anyway.
